Krishna Ghattam draws inspiration from the 16th Chapter of Mahabharatha, where Lord Krishna abandons the people of Dwaraka due to the growing malevolence amongst them. The film centers on Prasad, a respected village figure and an ardent actor, who is asked to play Lord Krishna in the revered mythological play, “Krishna Ghattam”. Rajesh, a spoilt playboy, pursues Ramaa, a simple slum dweller. The morality of Sarat, a self-proclaimed epitome of goodness is tested when he meets Latha, a prostitute with integrity.
